Traffic alert: Section of eastbound Broadway closed July 17-29
Starting Monday, July 17, Teichert Construction will begin work on Broadway that will close both eastbound lanes between 16th and 20th streets to traffic. Construction crews, working on behalf of PG&E, are scheduled to replace the gas main on Broadway. The work, expected to take up to two weeks to complete, will require a full closure of eastbound lanes on Broadway. Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes while this work is in progress.
Detour route northbound: From 16th Street/ Land Park Drive, head eastbound on X Street, southbound on 21stStreet to BroadwayDetour route southbound: From 19th Street/ Freeport Boulevard, head eastbound on Second Avenue, northbound on 21st Street to Broadway Pedestrian and businesses access will be maintained during construction. The stretch of road is expected to reopen Sunday, July 30.
